Based on guidance from state and federal public health professionals, Overmyer Hall Associates has moved the majority of its team to a remote work environment until further notice. Many of our team members already work at home one day each week, which gives me confidence in our ability to continue to serve our clients during these difficult times.
Some important items for you to be aware of:
- We will be restricting visitors to our office. If you have a planned visit, a member of your service team will be contacting you to make other arrangements
- With the health and safety of our clients in mind, we plan to limit in-person visits and meetings as much as possible. We plan to deliver policies and proposals electronically when appropriate. In addition, we will be conducting meetings over the phone or using video conference tools whenever possible.
- The insurance impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are broad and dynamic. The document linked below was published by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) on March 16, 2020. Since coverage and exclusions vary by policy, it’s important for you to review your specific situation with your service team.
- Unfortunately, we expect to see an increase in cyber-crime related to COVID-19. According to Evolve MGA, one of our cyber liability partners, fraudulent emails may come in the form of a message from the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), health advice from a medical specialist, or even internal workplace policy notifications. Please be on the lookout for such threats, and speak with your service team to review your cyber coverages.
