Commercial Lines Advisor, Construction
Chris is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and a minor in Architecture where he learned the building process, the craft of design, as well as drafting and carpentry. Chris then served six years as Project Engineer with Gilbane Building Company and Equity Inc., excelling in construction management while sharpening his ability to remove obstacles among team members and ensured teams were left stronger than how he found them. Following his tenure at Gilbane, he served ten years as Area Director for Young Life in Central Columbus, which shaped exceptional leadership and mentorship qualities. Over the past decade, Chris guided students, families, and business leaders through personal development and their community service initiatives.
HIs passion for creating relationships led him from construction to mentorship and now consultative services at Overmyer Hall Associates. With his background, Chris brings a unique vantage point of understanding what makes contractors successful – or vulnerable – and the ability to champion them through obstacles. He cultivates environments where people feel cared for, and does all things with integrity. He is constantly curious about how to dig deeper.
Chris specializes in insurance and risk management programs for all Contractors and Real Estate Developers, while advising all clients on insurance issues such as risk transfer, builders risk, additional insured, professional liability, and loss control. Ten years of medical, K-12 construction/real estate experience, and LEED building projects, gives Chris an incredible ability to provide a unique insight into the construction insurance industry. With Overmyer Hall Associates, he will continue to seek excellence through innovative solutions, while building and developing true, meaningful connections.
Chris remains an active volunteer with Young Life for Upper Arlington High School. Chris resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Mary, and kids, Savannah and Braden.
